New South Wales.

New South Wales is Australia's most populated state with over 6.2 million residents. Sydney is the capital city and boasts some of Australia's best known landmarks - Sydney Harbour Bridge, the Opera House and Bondi Beach. A diverse state with rugged mountain ranges such as The Blue mountains, location of the 3 sisters rock formation, home too of the steepest incline railway in the world, towns such as Katoomba and the world famous Jenolan Caves. N.S.W. also boasts superb coastline that includes the backpacker mecca of Byron Bay, tropical rainforest and also outback regions where mining for opals and gold continues and folk have made their homes underground in the town of Cooper Pedy. It is home also to Nimbin, a 'hippy' town that has it's own rather unique ambience and is worth a visit. The south coast of New South Wales is a real gem with more superb mountain ranges and wonderful stretches of coastline.
